WHEN YOUR MIND IS CAUGHT IN A WHAT-IF LOOP

A coaching partnership rooted in psychology and neuroscience for high-achieving professionals who overthink major life and professional decisions and stand at crossroads for too long

Dr. Giulia Galli, Accredited Coach, Chartered Psychologist and Neuroscientist

My clients inhabit a world of beautiful contradictions. Like you, they are often pulled in several directions at once—not out of indecision, but because they see the genuine value in so many paths. They crave the city’s energy and the countryside’s stillness; they value deep social connection and the necessity of solitude.

If you have a multilayered personality, major life decisions are particularly challenging because taking a decision means cutting something off and living a half-life. This can lead to a loop of what ifs that leaves you stagnant for years. Often, you are held back by the weight of potential regret and the comfort of what you already know, which leads to a cycle of overthinking rather than action.

As your coach, I help you move beyond the weighing of pros and cons. We untangle the inner patterns that keep you going around in circles—whether you are considering a new professional path or another fundamental change in your life—so you can experiment with your ideas without the paralysing fear of making the wrong move.

At the end of our coaching journey, you will step out of decision paralysis and into a grounded sense of direction. You will be able to take lasting decisions with no regrets, knowing your choices finally align with all the different parts of who you are. Instead of wasting years in a cycle of indecision, you will free up the mental energy to live your life to its fullest.

My work is informed by my background as an academic neuroscientist and chartered psychologist (PhD). I combine a deep understanding of the brain’s internal patterns with practical coaching to help you move into purposeful action.

THE DECISION BLOCK DIAGNOSTIC

Stuck at a crossroads and unsure why?

This diagnostic quiz identifies the specific psychological patterns that create friction when you navigate major life and professional pivots. In just two minutes, you will gain clarity on what is actually fueling your what-if loop. You’ll receive your results via email, along with practical tools to help you move forward.

The Sprint - 6 sessions

Break an acute deadlock

You are facing a time-sensitive crossroads. Perhaps you are considering a job offer or facing a “stay vs. go” dilemma where the cost of delaying a decision is increasing daily. You have exhausted the traditional pros-and-cons lists and are now battling the mental fatigue of circular thinking.

The transformation

By the end of these six sessions:

  • You will have moved past your what-if loop and into action
  • You will leave with a clear, self-aligned decision and the confidence to execute it, freeing up the mental energy that is currently consumed by doubt

The journey - 12 sessions

End chronic indecision

You recognize that overthinking is a recurring pattern that has cost you years of mental energy. This is not about one single decision, but about the underlying friction that keeps you from moving forward across your life and career. This is for the high-achiever who wants to fundamentally change their relationship with uncertainty and lead from a place of autonomy rather than doubt.

The transformation

By the end of our twelve sessions:

  • You will have internalized a process to navigate future crossroads with a permanent sense of direction
  • You will leave with the ability to trust your own judgment and  the courage to take purposeful leaps

Why work with me

Evidence-based coaching

My coaching is informed by over twenty years of scientific research in psychology and neuroscience (you can explore my work here ). I apply evidence-based frameworks to help you examine the cognitive and emotional patterns shaping your decisions. Rather than offering surface-level advice, we work at the level of underlying structure, enabling clarity, commitment, and sustained behavioural change.

A rare blend of expertise

My approach sits at the intersection of psychology, neuroscience, and coaching. This rare combination allows me to understand your needs with significant depth and to work comfortably with the complexity of a multifaceted life. I integrate scientific insight with coaching methodology to shift the patterns that sustain your current limbo in a way that holds over time.

Professional accreditation and ethical standards

Your coaching partnership is backed by the highest levels of accreditation. As a Chartered Psychologist with the British Psychological Society and a Senior Practitioner accredited by the European Mentoring and Coaching Council, I am committed to a practice rooted in evidence and ethics.

Bespoke coaching that adapts to your evolution

I do not follow a pre-defined, rigid structure for our work together. Because your needs are as multifaceted as your personality, our work is agile and reflective. We consolidate your progress with tailored action plans designed specifically for your what-if loop, ensuring that the momentum we build in our sessions translates into purposeful action in your daily life.

The 5D FrameworkTM

My work with clients navigating complex transitions or major life decisions is structured around my 5D FrameworkTM, developed across twenty years of combined experience in psychology, coaching and neuroscience.

Unlike many decision-making frameworks that focus on surface-level aspects like pros and cons, my framework treats decision-making as a multidimensional process. To reach a decision without regret, five distinct dimensions must be evaluated: Identity, Affective, Cognitive, Relational and Strategic.

My background allows me to work skillfully across each of these dimensions. While my coaching programmes address every stage of the framework, the focus on each element is tailored to your specific needs.

FAQ

What is coaching?

Coaching is a supportive conversation that helps people think clearly, understand themselves better, and make confident choices.
Based on the principles of the International Coaching Federation, coaching focuses on listening, reflection, and action, empowering individuals to find their own answers and move forward with clarity and purpose.

How is coaching different from counselling and therapy?

Coaching is future-focused and helps people move forward by setting goals and taking action. Unlike counselling or therapy, it does not focus on healing past issues or mental health concerns, but supports personal growth, clarity, and positive change in everyday life and work.

Is coaching right for me?

Coaching is right for you if you are curious to explore yourself, if you are open to change, if you are committed to work on your goals and have the mental space to do so.

Coaching is not for you if your goal is to improve mental health issues. Although as a chartered psychologist I am trained to deal with mental health issues, my intervention is future-oriented and primarily focus on finding your potential, rather than addressing mental health issues.

If you are struggling to understand what you need, we can discuss this during a consultation call so you can understand exactly what I offer and if it’s right for you at this time
